It's a complete ...It's absolutely terrible. It's a complete surrender to the "melting pot" that none of the other minorities in this country participate in. We'd rather pretend that Judaism is a religion of "love" and "tolerance" and political correctness. In reality, while Judaism is an incredibly tolerant monotheistic religion, the foundation of Judaism is the rule of law and fear of God. And when you have a rule of law, you're talking about logic. Not love and understanding.

This obsession though with portraying ourselves as good, enlightened citizens who never fight or complain unless it's part of a lawsuit is the biggest reason why we are constantly and eternally picked on by EVERYONE.

Show me one celebration of Jewish strength or pride in the United States, that doesn't have something to do with Israel. Show me one. Anyone at all.

Ask the average Jew who their Jewish hero is and you'll hear something like Jon Stewart or Sandy Koufax or Adam Sandler. You know who my Jewish heroes are? Herzl. Yonatan Netanyahu. Mordechaj Anielewicz. Most American Jews don't even know who these people are...well maybe Herzl but I've met enough who didn't to say that it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't.

It's a disgrace and it needs to change quickly.RonMossadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16815747509862087759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5797868361228039776.post-5295266127684282402009-12-17T22:05:07.187-05:002009-12-17T22:05:07.187-05:00Another example is the song Maoz Tzur. Most American Jews sing an english translation that has almost no resemblance to the original hebrew words.

"Rock of Ages let our song
Praise thy saving power;
Thou amidst the raging foes;
Wast our sheltering tower

Furious they assailed us,
But Thine arm availed us,
And Thy word broke their sword,
When our own strength failed us."

The accurate translation is:

"O mighty stronghold of my salvation, to praise You is a delight.

Restore my House of Prayer and there we will bring a thanksgiving offering.
When You have prepared the slaughter for the barking foe,
Then I shall complete with a song of hymn the dedication of the Altar."Alpha3958https://www.blogger.com/profile/08947648764259772310noreply@blogger.com
