Do you remember exactly where he says that?RonMossadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16815747509862087759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5797868361228039776.post-40027506710911753662009-01-02T13:20:00.000-05:002009-01-02T13:20:00.000-05:00I think your analogy with the toothpicks is succes...I think your analogy with the toothpicks is successful. Israel's strength is meant to serve as a deterrent. Hamas is not deterred by Israel's strength because part of its assessment is that the death of Palestinian civilians helps its cause.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5797868361228039776.post-36278401716530275472009-01-02T00:28:00.000-05:002009-01-02T00:28:00.000-05:00All the rabbinical commentators who explored Amale...All the rabbinical commentators who explored Amalek concurred that the commandment refers to any enemies of the people of Israel.
Rashi specifically names Germans as Amalek.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5797868361228039776.post-26557558797194997162008-12-31T16:07:00.000-05:002008-12-31T16:07:00.000-05:00"but ask any "religious" child going to Yeshiva wh..."but ask any "religious" child going to Yeshiva what they should do if they see Amalek, and their answer might be similar(although not nearly as graphic or specific)."

Here's the thing about that - find me an Amalekite today and we can talk. All the stuff from the Old Testament talks about nations that don't exist anymore...the holy Q'uran on the other hand talks about Jews and Christians specifically as well as generic non-believers.

Until Amalek or Canaan rears its ugly head again...we really don't have much of a problem...

That being said - thanks for the kind words Rich please share with your friends/everyone you know!RonMossadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16815747509862087759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5797868361228039776.post-7232885121481065132008-12-31T12:29:00.000-05:002008-12-31T12:29:00.000-05:00Once again, amazing and well-said. Thats a horrible thing but ask any "religious" child going to Yeshiva what they should do if they see Amalek, and their answer might be similar(although not nearly as graphic or specific).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
